Aziz Faye (32) from Senegal arrived in Spain in 2007 and is working as Street Peddler since 5 years in Barcelona, He is trying to get out this work but he can not found anything else. He has no papers and is a migrant, two obstacles to get a job in Spain. -
They all the time have to hide from Police who can arrest them for selling in the streets. Ramblas, Barcelona.

When the security of the metro station leaves the area, the street sellers get inside trying to sell their products, where local police has no authority to arrest them.

Some Sundays, rebel market is organized by local people and the Street Peddlers and the 'Popular Labor Union of Street Peddlers'

Waiting in the stairs or in the entrance of the metro station is a way to avoid the local police, who has no authority to access in.

As police appears, these seller has to pick up his products and move, looking for a place without police to put his blanket again.

Most of the Street Peddlers, coming from Senegal and Gambia live in Besos Mar where they have a mosque and they can go to pray.

A big muslim community lives in Besos Mar, most of them in irregular situation. They are the most affected community by the Spanish crisis. Lot of them had papers and work before the crisis.

Demonstrations are made asking for regularization and to stop criminalizing people coming to Europe and looking for a job or working in irregular situation.
